It all started with Paul, a farmer-turned-businessman who grew up near Economy, Indiana. After returning from his World War II Navy service, Paul married, started a family, and began building his reputation as an entrepreneur in Wayne County. Over his lifetime, he developed several local Wayne County businesses and served the county as a council member for 25 years.

In 1989, Paul’s son, Ken, opened his own business, Fab-Tech Industries, Inc., on U.S. 40 just outside of Cambridge City. Fab-Tech specializes in manufacturing concrete forms, welding, steel sales, and machinery and equipment repairs. Fab-Tech has been a true family business, with Ken’s wife, Jill, running the administrative side, and his kids, Mike and Jen, spending large chunks of their childhoods at the shop.

After obtaining his associate’s degree in automotive technology and working for over a decade as a mechanic, Mike joined his dad in the old shop in Cambridge City and opened Banning’s National Road Auto Service & Repair. Beginning in 2016, Mike is continuing his family’s tradition of providing quality service to the people of Wayne County.

Three generations of entrepreneurship, service, and hometown values–that’s what we hope to bring to you at Banning’s National Road Auto.
